PREVALENCE OF USING DENTAL WATER FLOSSER DURING ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT IN SAUDI ARABIAN POPULATION(JEDDAH REGION)

Introduction: Orthodontic treatment has many clear benefits for reinforcement the function, esthetics, and self-respect in patients. However, as any treatment, there are risks complications associated with such it can cause gingivitis, enamel demineralization tooth decay. Supreme self-care brushing interdental cleaning using adjuncts besides regular professional must be strengthened. Comparing use of conventional manual toothbrush to Dental Water Flosser Tip on bleeding plaque biofilm reductions fixed orthodontic was done. The results showed that dental water flosser a jet tip effective revealed favorable decreasing bleeding. Aim: identify awareness patients about its effect oral hygiene during treatment. Materials methods:-A cross-sectional study convenient sampling technique Sample size calculated according Cochrans formula (n=341).
